Something is brewing! Quite literally. 🧪 BioNIQ is typically used for the removal of nutrients such as phosphorus and nitrogen. But we’re now testing it for desulfurization of an industrial process side brine stream — with EC levels exceeding 10,000 µS/cm! And the early results are promising. The bacteria seem to be very happy with their feedstock, and we’re seeing encouraging performance under these challenging conditions. More to come… 👀

We recently launched a research project exploring the use of BioNIQ technology for the local, mobile treatment of residues in greenhouse roof cleaning water. The project is co-funded and coordinated through the Glastuinbouw Waterproof innovation programme by Kennis in je Kas. The goal is to make the collected wash water suitable for discharge into surface water or reuse as intake water. The research focuses on removing turbidity, any nutrients present, organic matter and clea
